the higher gas prices go...

...the more I think, if I could choose just one thing to say to Bush, it'd be this:

" This, then, is held to be the duty of the man of wealth: to set an example of modest, unostentatious living, shunning display or extravagance; to provide moderately for the legitimate wants of those dependent upon him; and, after doing so, to consider all surplus revenues which come to him simply as trust funds, which he is called upon to administer, and strictly bound as a matter of duty to administer in the manner which...is best calculated to to produce the most beneficial results for the community- the man of wealth thus becoming the mere trustee and agent for his poorer breathren..."

--"The Gospel of Wealth," Andrew Carnegie, 1889

Hey, that's me, the light in the dark when all other lights go out ; )) And a shameless thief from everyone from Tolkien to Carnegie! But seriously, there is something so grossly fucked up about fighting the Beast with poetry that I am crazy enough to prefer to believe it will work. Just don't ever let the little men with white jackets put you inside.

Dosen't Cheney already sleep in a box every day surrounded with dirt from his home land? I thought if he didn't he lost his power much like if he was exposed to garlic...

Unrelated: JC ARTSHOW/PARTY: Perhaps someone can copy this into a new post. I stumbled across it this morning and here is an abreviated version: technobohemia.com is sponsoring a one-night only "Art" Show October 28, 2005! called "FreakShow 2005: Night of the Starving Artist"

There will be a costume party and the walls and floor will be covered with original works. Featuring some of the best lowbrow and underground artists in JC (and beyond) have been asked to bring by some of their favorite pieces by for an evening of entertainment and art. I know that some folks are debuting original pieces created just for the FreakShow! See technobohemia.com for details, I gess.
